Rodeo Software - Company

Rodeo Software

Company Profile

Rodeo Software produces realistic and exciting simulators for the Horse industry.  We combine expert software engineering with in-depth knowledge of horses, roping, barrel racing, horse racing, cutting, reining, penning, and other horse competitions.

The company was started in 2002 with its first product TRSim.  Online competitions began a year later at www.ropingarena.com which is also owned and operated by Rodeo Software.  BarrelSim and www.barrelarena.com were released October of 2004.  TDRSim released in March of 2005.    TRSim2 released in October of 2008.  Rodeo Software is a privately owned company with plans for more games/simulators for the future.

The simulators bridge between gaming and serious practice.  We believe a simulator should have the appropriate detail to make you feel like you are really there.  A good simulator should provide the "eye tuning" necessary to make you better at the real thing.  In TRSim for example, we properly model everything so your time spent playing the game makes you better when actually roping.  We have had great experience with ropers doing nothing more than playing TRSim and then going out in the real arena and roping substantially better.

At the same time, we believe a good simulator should promote the sport it is modeling and therefore should be playable by novices and children.

Products produced by Rodeo Software are clean and fun for all ages.
